Baby Solids Tracker

Log each food and amount your baby eats, see when it adds up to a full meal so you know when to drop a bottle, and check that iron and other key nutrients are covered. It starts with this post:

App for introducing solids

We started doing solids (puree and smooth textures for now) and it feels chaotic to decide what to introduce when. Especially because I want to keep an eye on nutrients. I looked for apps that could help but a lot of them have quite pricey subscriptions and I am not sure if th...

Why this is a good idea

  • Proven paying market. Solid Starts makes an estimated $211K a month at $19.99 a month, so parents already pay for help with starting solids.
  • Paywall backlash. Many Solid Starts reviewers are angry that even basic tracking of foods tried is locked behind a subscription of around $100 a year.
  • A clear gap. No competitor counts food amounts toward a full meal to guide dropping a bottle, which is exactly what the poster's pediatrician plan requires.
  • Easy keywords. Searches like starting solids and baby led weaning app have solid popularity with Low difficulty.

Example of a previous issue from a real Reddit thread

Building a mobile app has never been easier.

Standing out in the most crowded App Store ever is the hard part. That starts with building something people actually want.

Gut feeling

You spend weeks building, launch, and get no paid subscribers.

Builders agree: with great ideas comes success on the app stores

Picking the right problem to solve is as important as executing it.

reddit is a goldmine. people post problems they’d pay to solve every single day.

every tech builder has to now stop putting effort into tech skills, and instead put effort into understanding culture trends to see what to build next.

Why startup founders fail: 1. Build something nobody wants.

How it works

  1. We find the right niche for you.

Every week, we scan Reddit for app requests that no existing app answers well.

  2. We validate the market.

Each idea is benchmarked against existing apps and backed by App Store data and market size.

  3. You get your next app idea.

One validated app idea in your inbox, every week. Builder and Pro plans get three ideas a week, matched to their criteria.

Why I built this

Nicolas, founder of Find App Idea

Hi, I'm Nicolas. I build mobile apps for language learners. When AI made building apps easy, I vibe coded a few like everyone else. A month later, none had a single customer.

So I changed my strategy: find the demand first, build after. Reddit turned out to be the best place to find great app ideas because people describe exactly what they need.

That's why I built Find App Idea. Now you can build the apps people are already asking for.

Questions, answered.

Where do the ideas come from?

From people asking for apps that don't exist yet. We look for Reddit posts like "Is there an app that…" or "I wish there was an app for…", where users describe a need no current app meets well. Every idea links to the original threads, so you can read the demand yourself.

How do you validate an idea?

We check demand and competition, and I review every idea myself before it goes out. Demand: how many people ask for it, and how many reply "me too". Competition: the apps that already exist, their ratings and reviews, and App Store keyword data to size the market. If the market is crowded or the demand is thin, the idea doesn't go out.

Reddit threads are public. What am I paying for?

The hours of research you don't have to do. Finding the right threads, filtering out the noise and checking each request against the App Store takes days per idea. You get the result, reviewed by hand and ready to build.

What's the difference between Free and Builder?

Free is one public idea a week, the same for every subscriber. Builder sends three ideas a week, matched to your platform, niche, skills and budget, each with the full report: Reddit evidence, competitor benchmark, ASO market size.

Are the ideas AI-generated?

No. They come from real people describing real needs. We use AI to sort through Reddit faster, but every idea starts from an actual request, with the threads to prove it, and I review each one by hand before it reaches you.

Does a validated idea guarantee my app will succeed?

No. It gives you a starting point backed by real demand, which is where most apps fail. The product, the marketing and the launch are still yours to get right.

Can I cancel? Can I get a refund?

Yes, cancel anytime from your account. If Find App Idea isn't for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment.
